Key responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of the international testing and development phase of the ALERT project –an innovative and ambitious initiative to develop an information management system on emergency preparedness for the humanitarian community. You will maintain an oversight of the implementation and sustainability of the ALERT system and ensure delivery of the project objectives. You will be expected to lead the testing of the ALERT system in six focus countries and manage the research, learning, training, communications, monitoring, evaluation and development components of the project.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in management of complex programmes/projects with solid experience in budget and financial management. You must have demonstrated knowledge and competence of grant programme management and knowledge of institutional donor compliance requirements. Demonstrable experience of good practice in staff supervision and management is required for the role.
It is essential that you have experience in humanitarian programming, ideally in a management role and sound knowledge of the humanitarian sector and emergency preparedness. To be successful in this role, you will also have strong communication, networking, influencing and analysis skills.
