The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, working towards achieving a world with zero hunger. We are seeking to fill the position of Salesforce Project Manager, based in the Government Partnerships Division (PGG) at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
WFP relies entirely on voluntary contributions to finance its projects. Relationships with fundraising partners from the public sector are pivotal in supporting WFP projects in all the countries where we work; saving lives and reducing hunger across the globe.
Within delegated authority, the Salesforce Project Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
Manage the rollout and population of the Salesforce platform.
- Champion the concept of a broad multi-level, contextualized knowledgebase of resource partners.
- Manage communications within the division and throughout WFP on the salesforce roll-out. Ensuring widespread and informed knowledge on what the project will deliver.
- Organize and deliver regional trainings
- Convene a user focus group for incremental feedback and adjustment of design.
- Develop training materials
- Set-up a support service for COs and GPOs
- Compile on-going lessons learned
- Evaluate rollout progress critically and propose and deliver remedial actions
- Ensure data integration targets are met.
- Develop KPIs and reports on levels of completeness of data
- Design the access and visibility policy for salesforce
- Report on project performance to project board
- Manage project financial resources
Input into the divisional knowledge management strategy.
- Support the implementation of the PGG Knowledge Management Strategy.
- Support PGG’s partner intelligence sharing efforts with the rest of WFP, including improving and managing two-way information flows between PGG and WFP’s programmatic units, country offices, regional bureaus and WFP offices.
- Drive collaboration between PGG and the other teams within the Partnerships and Governance (PG) division.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Masters level university degree in International Development, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Information Management and Research, Computer Sciences or other related fields.
Language
- Excellent English communication skills, both in speaking and writing.
- Proficiency in another UN official language (French, Arabic, Spanish, Russian or Chinese) is desiderable.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in international development, information / knowledge management, partnership management or project management.
- Working in resource mobilization in centralized and de-centralized environments
- Developing training and support materials for knowledge management/resource mobilization activities.
- Experience in managing projects and delivering within in tight deadlines.
- Exposure to concepts and practices of knowledge management.
- Experience managing a dispersed user community and providing support services.
- Experience in delivering new business practices/tools and ensuring widespread take-up.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of resource mobilization in an international development environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of, and familiarity with, salesforce
- Business Process mapping/engineering
- Team building/networking
- Proven success in ensuring successful adoption of a partnership management tool by new users.
- An understanding of how technology can optimize the work of often geographically distributed groups and teams.
- General knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations and procedures governing administration is an asset. Knowledge of UN fundraising procedures a strong plus.

- Excellent presentation and problem solving skills;
- Strong organization and planning ability and ability to write clear and concise procedural documentation;
- Ability to handle a large volume of data/work and meet strict deadlines;
- Ability to work harmoniously with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
