I. MSF INTERNATIONAL
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF offers assistance to people based only on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
MSF International is the legal entity that binds MSF’s 21 sections, 24 associations and other offices together. Based in Geneva, MSF International provides coordination, information and support to the MSF Movement, as well as implements international projects and initiatives as requested. 

II. POSITION BACKGROUND
Nearing completion of a movement wide implementation of Microsoft O365 cloud platform, MSF is now actively seeking a Microsoft experienced Head of O365 Operations that can take us successfully from end of O365 migration project to Business As Usual service delivery. The O365 platform is being used by offices in more than 60 countries around the globe, including more than 12,000 accounts.
Working with the internal team and an external partner and liaising and reporting to the IT senior leadership team, the post holder will also provide expertise in O365 platform strategy development and governance. The  Head of O365 Operations will be pivotal in ensuring that MSF aims and strategy of supporting patient and beneficiary needs can be seamlessly supported by the O365 platform.

III. PLACE IN THE ORGANISATION
The Head of O365 Operations is part of the O365 Operations team. He/she reports to senior IT leadership at the Information Systems Management platform, and works closely with key staff in all five Operational Centres of MSF, as well as MSF Partner Sections.
    
IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
The three key elements of the Head of O365 Operations position will be:  
• Transition management 
• Service delivery / operational management  
• Strategy, planning and governance

V. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Transition management
• Bridge the gap between project closure and the smooth operation of the production O365 platform and environment by:
• Reviewing and assessing the existing O365 project platform against best practices in order to determine gaps and issues 
• Prioritising and road-mapping of proposed measures  
• Executing proposed measures according to the roadmap 
• Determining methodology to deal with demand pipe-line 
• Orchestrating the knowledge transfer and handover from the project team to the support organisation 
• Hiring and structuring the O365 Operations team, external partner requirements and collaboration framework     

2. Service delivery/operational management
• Analysing and establishing an O365 service catalogue suitable for MSF's needs  
• Providing secure and reliable fit for purpose O365 IT services 
• Ensuring O365 technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner
• In conjunction with key stakeholders overseeing recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all O365 support and development staff in accordance with the MSF’s hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements. 
• Establishing standards of O365 performance and monitoring conformance for staff (through performance review), service delivery (through KPI’s) and vendors (through SLA)
• Developing, tracking, and controlling the development of annual operating and capital budgets relating to O365 operations
• Ensuring the continuing compliance of O365 operations community expectations and applicable laws and regulations for privacy, security, and social responsibility. 
• Ensuring that O365 technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization
• Sharing knowledge, mentoring, and educating stakeholders with regard to MSF’s O365 technological vision, opportunities, and challenges

3.Strategy, planning and governance
• Identifying opportunities and risks for delivering the O365, including identification of future services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles
• Leading strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing O365 development initiatives and tenant architecture, and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of services
• Participating as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organization’s resources are used responsibly, in the areas of O365 development 
• Collaborating with the appropriate stakeholders to assess and recommend O365 technologies that support MSF’s organizational needs
• In conjunction with the senior IT management team and key stakeholders establishing a governance process that meets local  government, and MSF expectations for information privacy in relation to O365
• Directing development and execution of an enterprise wide O365 security, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.  
• Communicating MSF’s O365 technology strategy to, management, board and stakeholders

VI. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
To deliver our O365 ambition we need to hire a talented individual with a solid technical focus who has a strong bias towards understanding and achieving business outcomes and who has experience in:
• Engaging senior stakeholders and articulating O365 transformation concepts  
• Defining the problem, vision and solution for the business and cultural change required to drive O365 technology transformation, and introducing new processes and procedures to ensure technology change is achieved  
• Driving O365 innovation in IT functions as part of a large  complex organization    
• Managing an O365 platform strategy within a complex environment  
• Working with senior colleagues to deliver enterprise wide transformational change  
• Able to operate tactically in the short-term but equally comfortable in long-term strategic planning.  
• Combines people skills with technological wisdom and a greater business understanding.

• O365 admin centre management (MCSA: Office 365 Certification) 
• O365 tenant federation 
• Identity Management with Azure AD and local AD
• ITIL processes knowledge 
• Incident, problem and change management
