Purpose:
The (Senior) Content Editor/Investment Writer will support the delivery of online and print campaigns aimed at supporting Front Office activities through writing and editing value-added, thought-provoking content that shares EIF’s expertise and reinforces its position as a leading SME risk financing entity.
Operating Network:
The incumbent will report to the Head of Division of Front Office Business Support and will work closely with multiple points of contact across the organisation including investment teams, mandate managers, communications, strategic thinkers and various other subject matter experts.
Responsibilities:
  • Generate compelling content across a wide range of topics and audiences related to financial engineering instruments, SME financing needs, and EIF management capabilities/credentials;
  • Be an active contributor to origination campaigns content by bringing new ideas, challenging concepts and delivery mechanisms;
  • Collaborate with EIF subject matter experts to curate and deliver clear audience specific marketing content that shares the expertise and thought leadership within EIF;
  • Edit content with an eye for clear purpose, compelling messaging, audience appropriateness, and consistent tone and style;
  • Incorporate best practices in marketing content, including editing content for distribution across various mediums;
  • Work with outside writing vendors to deliver appropriate products;
  • Build and manage relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors. 
Qualifications:
  • University degree, preferably at post-graduate level, in Finance, Economics or Journalism;
  • At least 6 years’ relevant professional experience as a technical content editor;
  • Proven experience in writing and developing content, either as a journalist or a copywriter;
  • Competent understanding of financial engineering instruments and SME financing needs would be a distinct advantage;
  • Good understanding of EIF’s objectives and policy orientation;
  • Experience in writing for different audiences and different mediums including blogs;
  • Excellent knowledge of English;
  • Good knowledge of at least one other EU language would be an advantage.
